They are writers, composers, singers, performers and enterpreneurs. Ruby was born to West Indian parents in Sudbury, Ontario while Chikaadee was born to a Tamil Sri-Lanka family who moved to Canada while he was a toddler. Growing up in Toronto Canada has exposed them to a diverse culture which they embrace and certainly empower. They are the founders of The Nation Entertainment music label with the movement named "World Wide Hustlers." On their MySpace page alone, they have over a million plays on their music player for songs like the massive internet hits "Thaya Thaya (which grossed 184,000 hits in 4 weeks)," "Balling like a Saudi," "Beamer Benz or Bentley" and more. They performed in a huge multicultural concert this past Summer 2010 at the George Weston Recital Hall in Toronto and also won the "Fred E. Fame" contest for the artist with the most internet links.
Kisho Kumar (Chikaadee) and Ruby Ramkaran (Ruby Queen) were united by a common passion: Music. When they finally decided to meet in person and collaborate after meeting on FACEBOOK, it was love at first sight. Chikaadee, who had been writing music since he was 16, conceived the dream of The Nation and World Wide Hustlers at an early stage in his career. When he met Ruby in April of 2008 and discovered her as a talent, he dubbed her The Nation’s Queen and they have been partners ever since. In Chikaadee’s own words “We complement each other so well, it’s a match made in heaven. It was just meant to be.”
